100 Years of Agronomic Excellence

The Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, formerly the Agronomy Department, celebrated their 100th Anniversary on September 11 and 12, 2009!

This anniversary was held in conjunction with the 28th annual AG Day - an event that has become a tradition that celebrates Colorado’s agricultural history. Colorado agriculture has always been and continues to be a vital part of our state’s history and economy. Agriculture is the second-largest industry in Colorado, providing more than 86,000 jobs and bringing in more than $12 billion to the state’s economy.
